Bodø International Schools wish Ingvill Berg welcome as the new headmaster!
Bodø International School (BOINT) is pleased to announce that Ingvill Berg (51) will take on the role of head of school starting from 1st of October 2024. After a thorough hiring process with many qualified candidates, the school is excited to welcome Berg to the team!

Ingvill Berg has an impressive background with 16 years of experience at FIRST Scandinavia, where she has been a key figure in the development of the educational Newton Concept. Her expertise in pedagogy, development, and leadership makes her an excellent candidate for this role.
Ingvill Berg looks forward to her new role with great enthusiasm
-I am excited to start as the Head of Bodø International School. Having the opportunity to work in a school where the individual is the focus and where I can engage with the global IB structure is something I truly look forward to. I believe this is very important for Bodø and I am eager to get started, says the upcoming Head of School.
Berg has worked in educational roles across various institutions and organizations for 25 years. She holds a Master's degree in adapted education with a focus on general didactics. For the past 16 years, Ingvill has been with FIRST Scandinavia, where she has been deeply involved in the development of the Newton concept both nationally and internationally. Newton offers practical and varied teaching in STEM. Ingvill has had a special responsibility for teacher networks and local school authorities, teacher training and contact with administrative and political leaders in the establishment of Newton spaces. In recent years, Ingvill has had a leadership role and is committed to building teams where employees can thrive and reach their full potential.

Bodø International School requires a person with great commitment and inner drive, and it is therefore very gratifying that Ingvill is taking on the role of general manager of the school foundation!
